The Toronto Ornithology Club was founded in 1934 and incorporated as an Ontario non-profit organization in 1987. It is a club for serious bird watchers and its goal is
Monitor wild bird populations in the area and maintain a comprehensive database of these populations;
Educating the public about wild birds and their habitat through meetings, field trips, and through the collection and distribution of ornithological
research and educational materials
organize or participate in projects to protect and preserve important bird habitats;
facilitating collaboration in ornithological research;
Building relationships between members and visiting naturalists.
