Description
There is now encouraging evidence that conservation efforts reduce the impact of some threats and strengthen populations, but there is also the persistence of some important threats and the emergence of new ones. There is still much to be done. The most important and challenging aspect of this is the conservation and protection of habitats at key sites, particularly in the Yellow Sea collection area. Important nesting sites remain unknown and only a small part of the population can be found during the breeding and winter seasons, suggesting that there are also undiscovered breeding and wintering sites.
