Description
India is home to a wide variety of wildlife. It is a biodiversity hotspot with its diverse ecosystems ranging from the Himalayas in the north to the evergreen rainforests in the south, sandy deserts in the west and swampy mangrove forests in the east. India is one of the most biodiverse regions in the world and is home to three of the world's 36 biodiversity hotspots - the Western Ghats, the Eastern Himalayas and the Indo-Burmese hotspot.
Nature Web's primary focus is documenting India's wildlife, but we also push the envelope where possible.
