Description

Bird atlases are produced around the world to show the distribution and often abundance of species over large geographic areas and over specific time periods. They follow a standard methodology and are designed to be repeated every 20 years. In North America, several states and provinces have produced "first generation" bird breeding atlases that compile comprehensive information on the distribution of bird breeding in their respective areas. This atlas now serves as the basis for comparing current atlases.
