The area around Flamborough is reputed to have the largest seabird colony in mainland Britain, has a well-deserved reputation as a sea lookout and last but not least is a fantastic place to migrate and see small birds such as thrushes and warblers and chatters, which reach the mainland after across the North Sea.
The Flamborough Bird Observatory is one of only twenty bird observatories located in major bird migration hotspots in England and Ireland. It is run by a team of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers whose goal is to study bird populations and record migrations.
