The FeederWatch project turns your love of bird feeding into a scientific discovery. FeederWatch is a November-April survey of birds visiting backyards, nature centers, public spaces, and other locations throughout North America. You don't even need a feeder! All you need is an area with plants, habitat, water or food that will attract birds. The schedule is really flexible. Count your birds as long as you like on the days of your choice and then enter your count online. Census allows you to track what is happening to birds in your home and contributes to the continent's record of bird distribution and abundance.
