Poole Harbor is a RAMSAR area and has a SPA (Special Protection Area) designation. This means it is home to a plethora of bird species nationally and internationally, making it one of the most ecologically important areas in the UK, not to mention bordering some of the country's most pristine lowland lowland examples. Therefore, studying birds and monitoring their numbers and behavior is essential for sustainable conservation efforts. We love to provide opportunities through our work to increase people's understanding of this amazing region and invite you to experience it with us. From investing in various habitat creation and human engagement projects, our popular bird school boat project, busy and diverse schedule of community events, and of course our flagship osprey reintroduction program at Poole Harbour, we seek to enhance this connection with birds and nature. everyone needs and deserves.
