Birdwatching and pursuing outdoor fun is something for everyone. Everyone should be able to do so without discrimination or fear for their safety, but this is not always the case.
Racism and other forms of discrimination must not be tolerated in society at large, including within our organization, as well as in birdwatching, citizen science, and conservation.
We all have a responsibility to fight racism and discrimination and work to eliminate them.
Excluding anyone or any group is not only unfair, inappropriate and wrong, it undermines and limits society's urgent need to understand, value and protect birds and all of nature.
