Large breasts are the largest of the common breasts and are easily identified by their yellow underparts bisected by a black center line. It varies between sexes, being wider in males and thinner and more irregular in females. Female color is generally darker. Great tits have a fairly long tail, which they use for maneuvering and communicating. They have sturdy black beaks and legs. The wings have black flight feathers with blue-gray flaps and black thirds tipped with white. Large breasts have prominent white triangular spots on their cheeks. Juveniles resemble adults but have yellowish spots and are generally paler in color.
