It was a beautiful, sunny October day with a temperature of around 20 degrees Celsius. We started on Lakeshore Road and stopped at Cedar Creek Park to enjoy the calm, glassy waters of Lake Okanagan. There are some common loons, the red-necked grebe, the horned grebe and the western grebe. A flock of house finches landed in the bushes near the parking lot. I spot a mature goshawk in a ponderosa pine in the distance and watch it through a telescope.
